Part 1 Summary
The main contention that Sir Ken Robinson argues in this TED program is that the creativity just like literacy plays an important role in education and need to be treated as both falling in the same status. He argues that our education system has succeeded in alienating millions of students who don’t find a purpose in attending schools, this is a fault by our society which has stuck by the important role that schooling played during the industrial age and Enlightenment period ‘s intellectual culture, Sir Ken goes ahead to question how it is possible to educate the 21st century children when the economy of this nation in the coming week cannot be predicted. He calls the education system to redesign its curriculum by incorporating creativity and treating it equally with other literacy skills. Sir Ken recognizes that the current formal education system is characterized by unequal focus on the amount of quantitative, linear subjects, Thus Robison proposes they need to re-image the current education system so that it effectively acknowledges multiple forms of intelligence and to cultivate creativity among students.

He states that every child born has his or her own capacity for innovation. He gives an example of Serena Williams talent in tennis which has exceptionally excelled in this filed since childhood. She is a person with extraordinary dedication to the talent that she found at a young age.
He gives another example from the Bible where his four year old was told to play the part of Joseph. The other four year olds, in the play, came in with their gifts of myrrh, frankincense and gold. From this story, he notes that kids are not afraid of making mistakes. However, he explains that mistakes are not the aspects of creativity, but rather a way to prepare them to create their original ideal. Many kids have lost the capacity to be wrong by the time they get into adulthood. And by adulthood most of us are frightened to be wrong.

Part 3 evaluation of the video
I have also interpreted the received information that has enabled me to agree with Sir Ken position on the need to focus on reimaging of schools. The speaker expresses the valuable facts of people not being able to visualize their future. The re-image schools for Sir Ken are true because as students stay in schools, their divergent skills of thinking do deteriorate. This video expresses the overall importance and essentiality for the policy makers and the teachers involved in educating children. The focus on the educational reforms should have assessed the overall ways that the teachers would manage the conflicts that occur through changes. He wonders how we manage to educate students who will be retiring in 2065 yet we have no clue of how the future will be. We lack clue of how the world is like, over the coming five years, this unpredictability is extraordinary.
