Decision making is considered an approach for thought process for the selection of the logical choice of available options, (Dennis, 2012). The selection of a certain belief can affect the course or direction I can choose. The editorial is aimed at assessing the state of self-assessment and individual decision making.  ACHE standard’s impact will be evaluated about decision making and leadership.
Self-assessment exercise enabled me to appreciate the impact of values, personality and aptitude for decision making.  Values included the issues that I hold paramount or vital for my life, (Smith and Wilkinson, 2012).   The value of accountability impacts my vulnerability to want to know the state of assessing the effectiveness of the management. Decisions and directions for me are weighed on the direction of movement for practice and assessment, (Dennis, 2012). Authenticity value was seen to cloud my decision making process. Trust between me and followers affected my reasoning and capability to deliver directions. These values acknowledgement have helped in increasing the state of transparency, realness, growth and offering genuine effort for assessment.
             Personality issues that were identified were the following.  Placement in an environment with pressure forces the achievement of the best outcomes. An assessment of the personality of my colleagues will help in acknowledging the best ways we could use in the assessment of the decisions. Initiative and innovation personality traits affect my sense of decision making and assessment of facts. Aptitude assessment helped me to realize that I love teaching,(Smith and Wilkinson, 2012). Self-assessment helped me to realize the different ways of assessing and presentation of information to colleagues.  The values, personality and aptitude values affected my state of decision making.
            ACHE standards impacts ethical decision making in the following manner. ACHE standards help in the governance of the ethical behavior for leaders and managers. Customer’s confidentiality should be maintained in the issuing of the decisions. The assessment of the different states of access will increase the need for the management of the tasks. Fundamental states of the ACHE standards have allowed the leadership and decision making to support the following issues. The issues include quality of life, equitable access of services and maintain the dignity for the different people we engage. ACHE standards increase the accountability of leaders due to the need to manage roles and identity well. The ACHE standards helped in realizing the obligation that leaders and managers have towards the employees and customers, (Smith and Wilkinson, 2012). The ACHE standards help in the maintaining of confidence and trust among the different individuals within the organization.  ACHE standards increase the need for sharing information in order to charge the accomplishment of the organization for the management of the different tasks.
            Individual ethics affects decision making due to the focus of reputation.  Moral person can consistently uphold the ethical principles.  A commitment to moral principles helps in the increase of trust and consistency in decision making, (Dennis, 2012).  As an individual, the respect of the feedback and views of others will help in forming good sense of decision making. The concern for others will be paramount for the assessment of the different issues facing decision making.
            In conclusion, there are numerous strategies of increasing decision making. The best approaches for my improvement of decision making are the following.  Firstly, one should consider all the alternatives offered.  Alternatives will help in the development of a contingency plan for evaluation. Secondly, one should weight the cost of the decision, and the possible alternative presented. Lastly, one should improve the communication skills for vivid expressions and explanations.
